About Me

Hi there and thanks for dropping by. I am a London-based amateur photographer and full time film industry professional.
I grew up in Berkshire, England and soon found a passion for great images in movies and photography, and how they are created. This led me to pursue a career in the film industry, where like many others before me I ventured to Soho, London to gain experience in a variety of post-production facilities.
I soon progressed into the telecine/colour grading department, where I was involved extensively in feature films such as Les Miserables, Snow White and the Huntsman, The World's End, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I got to work with some of the best cinematographers in the business and was involved in a number of Oscar-winning productions. You can see the full list of my credits on my IMDB page.
Looking back on this time, I now realise that I was very fortunate to participate so closely in the industry's transition from celluloid film (i.e. 35mm) to digital capture formats. I was probably one of the last few operators to train on the old-style telecine machines, and learn how to handle, and more importantly colour grade 16mm and 35mm film directly. In addition, I gained a huge amount of technical knowledge whilst learning about new camera technology and crafting new digital dailies workflows, as it all quickly gained acceptance in the industry. That knowledge serves me well as I continue my career into managing post-production for a large Hollywood studio.
But you're here for my photography, so here's a little bit on that. I love shooting documentary-style travel, candid and street genres, but as you can see from my galleries I also enjoy landscapes and architecture. I started out with Nikon gear, but have now moved to a Fuji X-series set-up which has re-ignited my passion for taking photographs, and in-fact pushed me into creating this very portfolio site.
All images on my site can be printed for sale.
